Fiach Moriarty

Dubliner Fiach Moriarty released his debut record ‘So i’ in 2010 to critical acclaim landing support slots with Ray Davies (The Kinks), Eddi Reader and Glen Hansard.

Countless gigs followed in his home country of Ireland, as well as the U.K., Mainland Europe, Australia and North America.

This heavy duty work ethic paid off, garnering praise from from a host of musical heroes of his such as Paul Brady, Gilbert O’Sullivan and Chris White of British invasion legends The Zombies.

Fiach’s second record, ‘The Revolution’ was released in April 2015 and immediately caught the attention of national media with subjects as heavy and current as The 1916 Easter Rising, Patrick Pearse, World

War 1 and Los San Patricios (the Irish brigade in the 19th century Mexican Army) tackled full on. The album broke the top 30, debuting in the Irish charts at number 29.
One such song ‘Mount Street Bridge’ tells the story of a young English soldier marching to meet his maker in inner city Dublin while ‘Confession’ provides us with a mirror imager, giving us an insight into an Irish Volunteer preparing for battle.

The record was produced by Simon Quigley and Peter Meighan (Edwyn Collins, Dave Couse, North Atlantic Oscillation) and features a guest appearance from Meteor award winner Wallis Bird.
