Starting in San Francisco as a studio project, Grouse has recently emerged as a highly impressive Dublin-based, six-piece live band.
Taking the album tracks of main man, Ronan Carroll and arranging them for a live audience has given the cinematic, atmospheric, electronica of Grouse a new dimension.
Consisting of Carroll on guitar and synths and members from all corners of the world playing drums, bass, percussion, brass, synths, samplers and even the occasional vocal the Grouse live band tend to create an fairly epic sound.
Released in late 2012, second Grouse album, ‘Heads’, was described by Dan Hegarty of 2FM as ‘one of the albums of 2012’ and more recently, in Spring 2014, an EP of ‘Heads’ remixes furthered the Grouse sound.
